The Tonic Technologies is looking for a Videographer to capture the stories behind our brand, from product shoots and team moments to events and community programmes.
You'll plan and shoot great-looking footage, and handle quick edits when content needs to go out fast.
This is a full-time remote role, but you'll come to our office or the shoot location whenever there's a shoot, so you'll need to live in or near Lagos.
What you'll be doing
Shooting content for TikTok, Instagram, X and YouTube: product videos, skits, interviews, behind-the-scenes and trend content.
Covering our events and community programmes like Upskill, Cardtonic Cares and Tonic FC, and making sure no important moment goes uncaptured.
Planning shoots with the marketing and design teams: shot lists, locations, props and talent.
Handling lighting, framing and audio so the footage looks and sounds clean, even in tricky spaces.
Doing quick edits for fast-turnaround posts, like same-day event recaps.
Handing over well-organised footage to our Video Editor for bigger edits.
Taking care of our camera gear and keeping it ready for the next shoot.
Your toolbox
Cameras (mirrorless or cinema), lenses, gimbals, lights and mics, plus a good eye for getting great shots on a phone when that's all the moment allows. For editing, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro or CapCut.
You'll fit right in if
You've got 3+ years of professional videography experience, with work that's been published. This one is a must.
Your reel shows range: social content, events, interviews and something with real storytelling.
You shoot with the edit in mind, so you always grab the B-roll, cutaways and extra takes.
You're comfortable directing people on camera and making them feel relaxed, even if they're shy.
You can edit a clean, captioned short video on your own when needed.
You know what works on social: vertical framing, strong first seconds and trends that are still alive.
You're organised and reliable. You plan ahead, show up on time for shoots and keep your gear and files in order.
You're great at remote work. You keep people in the loop and hit your deadlines without being chased.
Extra sauce (nice to have, not a must)
Drone skills. Photography. Motion graphics. Experience shooting for a fintech or consumer brand. Ideas for content, not just the ability to shoot it. None of these will stop you from applying. They just make us smile.
Maybe not the one for you if
You only want to shoot big cinematic productions. You'd rather not shoot on a phone, ever. You need a full crew to get anything done. Or you can't make it to Lagos shoots when they come up. No wahala at all, it's just not the right match.
