Role Summary

  • This is a field-first, hunter role for someone who thrives on winning new business, not managing from behind a desk.
  • You'll take full ownership of business development identifying opportunities, building relationships, and closing deals while laying the groundwork for a sales team as the function grows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities across architects, developers, contractors, corporate and residential clients
  • Take full charge of the sales function from prospecting to closing with minimal need for oversight
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, referral partners, and industry stakeholders
  • Represent the company at site visits, client meetings, and industry events (largely field-based work)
  • Track pipeline and sales activity, and report on progress against targets
  • Lay the foundation for a future sales team, including process and structure, as the business scales

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
  • 5-10 years' experience in sales, business development, or a related field
  • Demonstrated passion for sales and a proven track record of winning and closing business
  • Self-starter who can operate independently and take ownership of results
  • Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Comfortable with a field-based, target-driven role
  • Experience in furniture, interiors, construction, or building materials is an added advantage, but not required.
