The Business Development Officer will support the hospital\'s business growth through lead generation, client acquisition, relationship management, referral development, corporate engagement, and follow-up on business opportunities. The role is responsible for identifying prospective clients and partners, promoting the hospital\'s services, maintaining relationships with existing clients and referral partners, and supporting initiatives that increase patient acquisition and utilisation of hospital services.
Requirements:
Bachelor\'s Degree/Higher National Diploma (HND) in Marketing, Business Administration, Sales, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
2 - 4 years\' relevant experience in Business Development, Sales, Marketing, Customer Relationship Management, or a related role.
Experience within healthcare, hospital services, insurance, or pharmaceuticals is an advantage.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Key responsibilities:
Lead Generation & Business Development
Identify prospective corporate clients, institutions, organisations, healthcare providers, and other potential business partners.
Generate leads through market visits, networking, referrals, research, events, and other approved channels.
Corporate Client Management
Contact and visit prospective corporate clients to introduce the hospital\'s services.
Support the development and presentation of proposals and service information to prospective clients.
Maintain regular communication with assigned corporate clients.
Identify opportunities for additional services and continued engagement
Referral Development
Build relationships with doctors, clinics, pharmacies, hospitals, diagnostic centres, and other referral sources.
Conduct regular visits and follow-ups with referral partners.
Promote relevant hospital services and communicate available service offerings.
Track referrals generated through assigned channels.
Patient & Business Acquisition
Promote the hospital\'s services professionally to prospective clients and partners.
Respond promptly to business enquiries and ensure appropriate follow-up.
Support initiatives aimed at increasing patient acquisition and utilisation of hospital services.
Follow up with leads to improve conversion.
Client Relationship Management
Maintain positive relationships with existing clients and partners.
Obtain feedback from clients and communicate service concerns to the appropriate departments.
Follow up on outstanding client requests and ensure they are appropriately escalated
Support client retention initiatives
Market Visits & Networking
Conduct regular market visits within assigned territories
Identify new organisations, businesses, healthcare providers, and potential referral sources.
Participate in networking events, medical outreaches, exhibitions, corporate visits, and other approved activities
Gather information on competitor activities and market opportunities
Business Development Activities
Support corporate health programmes, medical outreaches, health talks, screenings, and other business-generating activities
Assist in preparing presentations, proposals, quotations, and other business development materials.
Support the execution of business development campaigns and initiatives
Work with other departments to ensure smooth delivery of agreed client services.
Reporting
Maintain accurate records of leads, visits, meetings, referrals, prospects, and conversions
Submit regular activity and performance reports to the Business Development Manager
Provide updates on prospective accounts and partnership opportunities
Track follow-up activities and outstanding business opportunities
Maintain an updated database of prospective and existing clients.
Follow up on leads and move prospects through the business development process.
