To drive revenue growth, expand market share and lead the sales function within the automotive business. The role is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, growing key customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities and leading a high-performing sales team across assigned territories.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute sales strategies and annual sales plans to achieve revenue, profitability and market-share objectives.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across fleet operators, transport and logistics companies, construction companies, government agencies, dealerships and corporate customers.
  • Expand the company\'s customer base and strengthen market presence across assigned territories.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their needs and identifying opportunities for increased sales and customer retention.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, pricing and customer demands to identify emerging opportunities and risks.
  • Lead negotiations and commercial discussions with customers to support business growth and profitability.
  • Monitor sales performance against agreed KPIs and take corrective actions where required.
  • Lead, coach, motivate and develop the sales team to achieve individual and organizational targets.
  • Foster a high-performance and customer-focused team culture.
  • Work collaboratively with relevant departments to ensure effective customer service and delivery of agreed solutions.
  • Identify short- and long-term business risks and opportunities and support the development and execution of appropriate strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable health, safety, security and risk-management requirements.
  • Conduct and review relevant risk assessments and escalate unresolved HSSEQ or business risks appropriately.
  • Provide regular sales performance, market and business development reports to management.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor\'s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management or a related discipline.
  • Relevant professional certification or membership of a recognized professional body is an advantage.
  • Proven experience in automotive sales, commercial sales or sales and marketing, preferably within the automotive, transportation, fleet or related industry.
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving or exceeding sales and business objectives.
  • Experience managing key accounts, developing new business and leading a sales team is preferred.
  • Good understanding of the automotive market, customer segments and industry trends.
