Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced HSE Manager to provide strategic leadership in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the organization's Health, Safety, Environmental (HSE), and Sustainability frameworks.

The successful candidate will ensure compliance with applicable regulations, ISO standards, ESG requirements, industry best practices, and company policies while driving a strong culture of safety, environmental responsibility, and sustainability across all operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead workplace health, safety, environmental, and sustainability initiatives, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, ISO standards, and corporate policies.
  • Conduct regular factory, warehouse, and workplace inspections, identify hazards and residual risks, and implement appropriate control measures.
  • Oversee incident, accident, near-miss, and fire investigations, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented and reported.
  • Supervise the implementation of safe work procedures, Permit-to-Work systems, emergency preparedness, fire safety, and risk management practices.
  • Coordinate HSE inductions, trainings, meetings, drills, and awareness programmes for employees, contractors, and visitors.
  • Lead waste management, environmental monitoring, Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) activities, and pollution prevention initiatives.
  • Ensure the effective implementation and continual improvement of the Environmental Management System (ISO 14001:2015) and Occupational Health & Safety Management System.
  • Monitor environmental aspects and impacts and ensure required environmental parameters and statutory reports are submitted to relevant regulatory authorities.
  • Liaise with regulatory agencies, environmental consultants, certification bodies, contractors, and other external stakeholders on HSE and environmental matters.
  • Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual HSE/ESG reports, dashboards, statistics, and compliance reports to management.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to HSE personnel and coordinate cross-functional teams to strengthen the organization\'s safety and sustainability culture.

Requirements

  • B.Sc. degree in a Science-related discipline.
  • HSE Level 3 Supervisory Certification.
  • IOSH Managing Safely/Managing Safety certification.
  • NEBOSH certification.
  • ISO 45001:2018 Lead Auditor certification.
  • Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in Health, Safety & Environment (HSE), preferably within a manufacturing, pharmaceutical, chemical, or related industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of HSE legislation, environmental regulations, risk assessment, incident investigation, waste management, and emergency response.
  • Good understanding of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ESG, and environmental sustainability practices.
  • Strong leadership, communication, analytical, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
