About the Program

CPS is seeking motivated and ambitious graduates to join our Graduate Trainee Program, a structured 3-month sales-first career development pathway designed to build future talent in sales, presales, and solution consulting.

The program is designed to develop trainees progressively through three stages:

• Sales Trainee - learning CPS solutions, customer engagement, sales processes, CRM usage, opportunity qualification, and pipeline management.
• Presales Trainee - supporting customer discovery, demos, proposals, tender responses, and objection handling.
• Solution Trainee - developing solution design capability, technical positioning, certification readiness, and executive presentation skills.

Progression from one stage to the next will be based on performance, learning progress, mentor feedback, and stage-gate assessments.

Key Responsibilities

The Graduate Trainee will be expected to:

• Understand CPS's solution areas, including Modern Work, Security, Azure, Data & AI, and Business Applications.
• Learn and apply basic sales methodologies, including prospecting, customer discovery, qualification, objection handling, follow-up, and closing next steps.
• Support CRM and pipeline management by accurately logging activities, updating contacts, maintaining opportunity records, and tracking sales actions.
• Shadow sales calls, client meetings, demos, and proposal preparation activities.
• Prepare simple solution positioning notes, sales playbooks, discovery questions, and objection-handling responses.
• Support presales activities such as demo preparation, customer needs analysis, proposal writing, and tender/RFP response preparation.
• Complete assigned Microsoft learning paths, sales-lane modules, and relevant certification or completion credentials.
• Participate in mentor check-ins, weekly progress reviews, and stage-gate assessments.
• Present a capstone project demonstrating sales understanding, solution positioning, and customer value communication.

Required Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate should have:

• A recent degree or diploma in Business, Sales, Marketing, IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Strong interest in technology sales, cloud solutions, Microsoft technologies, and customer engagement.
• Good communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and explain technical concepts in simple business language.
• Strong organization skills and willingness to maintain accurate records in CRM and activity trackers.
• Confidence to engage customers, ask questions, and handle objections professionally.
• A proactive attitude, curiosity, and willingness to learn through coaching, certification, and practical assignments.
• Basic understanding of Microsoft solutions, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, data, AI, or business applications will be an added advantage.

Performance Expectations

To successfully complete the program, trainees will be expected to:

• Complete assigned sales, presales, and technical learning tracks.
• Demonstrate understanding of at least one CPS solution area.
• Maintain accurate CRM and pipeline records.
• Shadow and support customer-facing sales activities.
• Complete or book at least one relevant Microsoft certification or approved learning credential.
• Participate in mentor reviews and achieve the required minimum performance score.
• Demonstrate readiness for possible progression into sales, presales, or solution support roles.
