KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Own the monthly finance close and ensure the RPM sub-ledger and management report are submitted to Group Finance by the agreed working-day deadline.
Prepare monthly management accounts, performance reviews, variance analysis and decision-support reports for RPM leadership.
Maintain strong balance-sheet discipline, including asset mix, receivables, payables, cash and borrowings.
Drive liquidity management and maintain a rolling 13-week cash-flow forecast, updated and shared weekly.
Lead accounts receivable monitoring and cash recovery, including ageing, customer follow-up, escalation and DSO improvement.
Ensure customer POs, billing milestones, project completion documentation and invoices are tracked from engagement through collection.
Ensure invoices are raised promptly once contractual/project billing conditions are satisfied and investigate billing delays.
Monitor customer GRNs and approvals and coordinate timely escalation of payment blockers with Commercial and Projects.
Manage payables discipline, supplier reconciliations and supplier credit-limit negotiations while protecting business continuity.
Monitor bank facilities, borrowing costs, liquidity requirements and funding requests; recommend cost-effective financing options.
Support disciplined capital allocation, project funding decisions, investment appraisal and commercial pricing/margin analysis.
Provide monthly cost-of-sales and quotation-cost variance analysis, including FX, freight and clearing-cost drivers, and identify savings opportunities.
Ensure statutory obligations are accurately calculated, filed and remitted within statutory deadlines.
Maintain robust reconciliations and internal controls and ensure discrepancies are investigated and resolved promptly.
Support ERP/CRM, dashboard and finance-process improvements that improve transparency, accuracy, completeness and turnaround time.
Coordinate external and internal audits and ensure agreed audit findings are closed within approved timelines.
Act as finance business partner to business-unit heads, providing commercially relevant analysis and practical recommendations.
Coach and develop finance team members and build a strong succession pipeline.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Education
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
ICAN, ACCA or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
Professional Certifications
Candidates must hold at least one of the followingactive professional certifications:
Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria(ICAN)
Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)
Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)
Experience
Typically 7 - 10+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience, with relevant supervisory or management exposure.
Strong experience in management reporting, working capital, cash-flow management, financial controls and business partnering.
Experience in project-based, engineering, technical services, trading, manufacturing or similarly operational environments is preferred.
Strong Excel/financial modelling and ERP/accounting-system capability.Minimum of 7 - 10 years' progressive experience in financeand accounting, with demonstrable career growth.
Hands-on experience in financial operations, treasury management, taxation,consolidation, and business partnering.
Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Zoho, Sage, or equivalent) and financial modellingtools.
