Role Summary
The Facility Manager will oversee the day-to-day management, maintenance, safety, and efficiency of the head office. You will make sure the workplace runs smoothly, vendors deliver on their commitments, costs are controlled, and staff have a comfortable, secure, and productive environment.
Oversee the upkeep of the office premises, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, power (generators, inverters, UPS), water, and internet infrastructure
Run preventive maintenance schedules and resolve faults promptly to minimise downtime
Conduct regular inspections and keep an asset and equipment register
Source, negotiate with, and manage service providers (cleaning, security, catering, fuel, repairs, pest control, etc.)
Monitor vendor performance against SLAs and manage contract renewals
Obtain competitive quotes and ensure value for money
Enforce HSE policies and keep the premises compliant with relevant regulations
Maintain fire safety equipment, emergency exits, and first-aid provisions, and run regular drills
Coordinate with security personnel on access control, visitor management, and incident reporting
Prepare and manage the facility budget, tracking expenses against it
Identify cost-saving opportunities, such as energy efficiency and supplier consolidation
Process facility-related invoices and requisitions accurately and on time
Manage space planning, seating arrangements, and office moves or set-ups
Oversee office supplies, pantry, and general housekeeping
Be the point of contact for staff facility requests and complaints, resolving them quickly
Support events, meetings, and visitor hosting
Maintain accurate records of leases, licences, permits, and insurance
Provide regular facility reports to management on costs, incidents, and maintenance status
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or HND in Facility Management, Estate Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
4 to 6 years of experience in facility or office management, preferably in a tech company, corporate, or multi-tenant environment
A professional certification (e.g., IFMA, NEBOSH, or similar) is an advantage
Strong knowledge of building systems and maintenance practices
Excellent vendor negotiation and contract management skills
Sound budgeting and financial management ability
Strong organisational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office / Google Workspace
Ability to stay calm and act decisively in emergencies
