About the Role:

  • We are seeking a highly analytical and principled Compliance Officer to ensure our business operations strictly comply with all relevant industry regulations, state/federal laws, and internal ethical policies.
  • In this role, you will be responsible for developing compliance programs, reviewing company practices, and advising management on risk management. The ideal candidate has an eagle eye for detail, an unyielding commitment to corporate ethics, and the ability to translate complex laws into clear, actionable corporate strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate fraud-related transactions;
  • Monitor transactions to detect any unusual or suspicious transactions.
  • Conduct Preliminary investigation on any unusual or suspicious transaction.
  • Prompt preparation and delivery of all relevant returns to the regulatory bodies in line with the CBN n AML/CFT/CPF Regulation 2022.
  • Attend to request from law enforcement bodies e.g EFCC, POLICE, DSS NFIU, ETC
  • Review customers request for letters of non-indebtedness.
  • Review customers request for refund cases.
  • Communicate AML/CFT/CPF issues to the CCO.

Required Qualifications:

  • B.Sc. or HND
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years experience in AML/CFT, compliance, or financial crime roles within the banking sector.
  • Experience with AML monitoring tools and core banking systems.
