Coordinate finance-related statutory and regulatory. Maintain a comprehensive calendar of finance-related compliance obligations, ensuring accurate and timely filings, payments, reconciliations and supporting documentation in accordance with applicable Nigerian laws, regulations and Company controls.

- Accuracy and completeness of statutory returns and reconciliations.
- Number and severity of statutory compliance exceptions or penalties.
- Timely closure of regulatory, audit and compliance findings.
- Accuracy and completeness of statutory compliance records and audit trails.
- Quality and timeliness of management compliance reporting.
- Statutory filing and payment obligations and monitor compliance deadlines.
- Prepare, review and coordinate statutory returns, schedules and supporting documentation for relevant authorities.
- Ensure timely remittance and reconciliation of applicable taxes, levies, deductions and statutory obligations.
- Monitor changes in legislation and regulatory requirements and assess implications for finance processes.
- Maintain accurate compliance records, evidence of filings, payment receipts and complete audit trails.
- Coordinate responses to statutory audits, regulatory reviews and information requests.
- Reconcile statutory accounts and investigate differences between returns, payments and general ledger records.
- Work with Tax, Payroll, Legal, HR and other functions to ensure consistent compliance data and timely submissions.
- Identify compliance gaps, recommend corrective actions and track agreed actions to closure.
- Prepare periodic statutory compliance status reports for Management
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree/HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8-12 years' relevant finance, tax or statutory compliance experience, preferably within the oil and gas industry.
- ACA, ACCA, ICAN, CITN or equivalent professional qualification is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian statutory and regulatory compliance requirements and proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel are required.
