Role Overview

The Business Development Manager (Design Consultant) is a strategic, high-level "hunter" responsible for driving B2B revenue and establishing The Home Emporium as the preferred partner for large-scale

projects. This role combines technical interior design consultation with aggressive market expansion and partnership management.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Partnerships: Proactively identify, onboard, and manage independent Interior Designers and Architects into the firm's Trade Partner Program.

B2B & Corporate Sales: Secure fit-out contracts for corporate offices, hospitality ventures (hotels/ restaurants), and retail environments.

Real Estate Engagement: Partner with property developers for show house staging, unit fit-outs, and multi-unit furniture supply contracts.

Technical Consultation: Provide expert advice to partners, helping specify furniture, finishes, and textiles into Project Bill of Quantities (BOQs).

Full Sales Cycle Management: Lead projects from the initial pitch and site measurement to final delivery and balance collection.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum 5+ years of proven success in business development or high-end sales within the interior design, construction, or luxury real estate sectors.

Technical Proficiency: Ability to read and interpret floor plans, understand material durability, and communicate technical design specifications effectively.

Professional Network: Must possess an active network of architects, property developers, and facility managers within the Nigerian market.

Key Attributes: Exceptional negotiation skills, polished professional presence, and a commitment to precision in design consultation.
