Job Summary

  • We are looking for a responsible, organised and computer literate Admin Officer to support the smooth day to day administration of a filling station.
  • The ideal candidate should have previous experience in administration, preferably within a filling station, retail, fuel station or other fast paced operational environment.
  • You should be comfortable handling records, documentation, staff related matters and basic computer based administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle the day to day administrative activities of the filling station.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales, expenses, stock movements, staff attendance and other station activities.
  • Prepare and organise daily, weekly and monthly administrative reports.
  • Enter and update information using Microsoft Excel, Word and other relevant computer applications.
  • Maintain proper filing and documentation of station records.
  • Monitor office supplies and administrative materials and ensure timely replenishment.
  • Assist with staff attendance, schedules and other routine administrative matters.
  • Receive, record and properly organise invoices, receipts and other documents.
  • Liaise with the station manager, accountants, suppliers and other relevant personnel when required.
  • Support the Station Manager with general administrative and operational duties.
  • Ensure that station records are properly maintained and readily available when required.
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment when handling company information.

Requirements

  • OND, HND or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Accounting or a related field is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative role or a similar position.
  • Previous experience in a filling station, retail business or other operational environment will be an advantage.
  • Must be computer literate and comfortable using Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Good record keeping and documentation skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be organised, responsible and attentive to detail.
  • Ability to work in a busy environment and manage multiple administrative tasks.
  • Must be able to work effectively with station staff and management.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • We need someone who is hands on, organised and dependable.
  • The successful candidate should be comfortable working in a busy filling station environment, following up on records and ensuring that administrative activities are properly documented.
  • Previous experience is important, but we are equally interested in someone who demonstrates good work ethics, computer proficiency, attention to detail and the ability to take responsibility for their work.
