Position Overview

  • We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and analytical Accountant to serve as Assistant to the CFO.
  • The successful candidate will support the CFO in managing the organization's financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, budgeting, and strategic financial planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the CFO in overseeing daily accounting and financial operations.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and management accounts.
  • Support budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations.
  • Monitor cash flow, accounts payable, and accounts receivable activities.
  • Assist with financial audits and coordinate with external auditors.
  • Support tax planning, tax filings, and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decision-making.
  • Assist in developing and implementing financial controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Prepare presentations, reports, and financial summaries for management and board meetings.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the CFO.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Professional accounting certification (ACA, ACCA, ICAN, CPA, or equivalent) is preferred.
  • 3 - 6 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, and internal controls.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Competencies:

  • Experience supporting senior finance executives.
  • Knowledge of Zoho Books and financial management software.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking ability.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
