Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and analytical support to the GMD on construction projects, engineering activities and other technical matters.
  • Review project reports, technical proposals, drawings, work programmes, BOQs, cost information and other technical documents submitted to the GMD.
  • Monitor the progress and performance of key projects and highlight delays, risks, cost concerns and technical issues requiring Management attention.
  • Conduct periodic project/site visits as directed by the GMD and submit concise reports on findings and recommendations.
  • Prepare briefing notes, technical summaries, presentations and reports for the GMD and Management meetings.
  • Follow up on directives issued by the GMD and monitor their implementation across relevant departments, projects and business units.
  • Coordinate with the PMO, Engineering & Construction, QS, Procurement, Finance and other relevant teams to obtain required information and updates.
  • Track key project milestones, deliverables and outstanding actions and provide timely updates to the GMD.
  • Support the GMD in reviewing project performance against approved scope, budget, programme, quality and other agreed targets.
  • Identify recurring operational and technical challenges and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Assist in the evaluation of technical and commercial proposals when assigned by the GMD.
  • Maintain proper records of technical reports, Management directives, project updates and other documents required by the Office of the GMD.
  • Support the preparation and coordination of Management meetings, including collation of relevant technical reports and action points.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all information and documents handled in the Office of the GMD.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the GMD.

This research component will focus on monitoring drug safety (Adverse Drug Reactions), antimicrobial resistance, and mortality trends. Scope The role of the LGA Technical Assistants (TAs) is to ensure proper planning, execution, and monitoring of the Mass Drug Administration (MDA) of Azithromycin and reverse logistics at the LGA level in the state. They are expected to collaborate with LGA teams, health facility supervisors, traditional leaders, and Officers in Charge (OICs) of all AZM-implementing facilities. These stakeholders are required to adhere to established AZM administration protocols and implementation strategies. Scope The role of Technical Assistant is to support the quality implementation of delivery of SMC services in Gwagwalada Area Council, health facilities and at the household level. S/he will be responsible for planning, implementation, reporting and coordination with Gwagwalada Area Council representatives and community stakeholders. S/he will interact with the Area Council management team, keep them updated on the programme progress and ensure high-quality SMC implementation of SMC in Gwagwalada Area Council.
