Job Summary

  • We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Bidding & Tendering Lead to lead and coordinate the company's bidding and tendering activities.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end tendering process, from identifying and reviewing tender opportunities through the preparation, coordination, submission and follow-up of competitive bids.
  • He shall be reporting as the technical assistant to the MD.
  • The role requires strong technical, commercial, analytical and coordination capabilities, as well as the ability to work effectively with multiple departments and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end bidding and tendering process for prospective projects and business opportunities.
  • Review invitations to tender, requests for proposals, requests for quotations and other tender documentation.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of tender requirements, scope of work, technical specifications, commercial terms and submission requirements.
  • Coordinate the preparation of technical and commercial tender submissions.
  • Develop and maintain tender schedules to ensure timely completion and submission of bids.
  • Coordinate inputs from engineering, project execution, procurement, finance, HSE and other relevant departments.
  • Ensure all tender submissions are complete, accurate, professionally presented and compliant with client requirements.
  • Identify gaps, ambiguities, risks and potential areas of concern in tender documents and escalate appropriately.
  • Support the preparation of bid strategies to improve the company's competitiveness and chances of successful award.
  • Coordinate clarification requests and responses during the tender process.
  • Review technical and commercial documents before final submission.
  • Maintain an organised database of tender opportunities, submissions, outcomes and relevant client information.
  • Monitor tender outcomes and maintain records of successful and unsuccessful bids.
  • Conduct post-tender reviews to identify lessons learned and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support management in assessing potential business opportunities and determining bid/no bid recommendations.
  • Work closely with management in preparing presentations and other materials required for client engagements.
  • Maintain awareness of relevant industry opportunities and prospective clients.
  • Ensure confidentiality and proper control of sensitive commercial and tender information.
  • Support the continuous improvement of the company's bidding and tendering processes.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in similar works.
  • Relevant experience in bidding, tender preparation and proposal management within the Oil & Gas, EPC, EPCIC or related industry will be an advantage.
  • Relevant experience with the use of Tendering platforms like ARIBA, etc will be of Advanatge
  • Demonstrable ability to coordinate multidisciplinary tender inputs.
  • Strong understanding of technical and commercial tender documentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, organisational and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership and coordination abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict tender deadlines.
  • Ability to manage multiple tender opportunities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and relevant tender/proposal preparation tools.
