Job Summary

  • We are seeking a competent and experienced Structural Engineer to join our team and contribute to the successful delivery of engineering and construction projects.
  • The Structural Engineer will be responsible for the planning, analysis, design, and review of structural systems for various Piling & Construction projects.
  • The role requires sound technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with project teams to ensure safe, cost-effective, and compliant structural designs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare structural designs, calculations, and engineering drawings in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
  • Conduct structural analysis and design for foundations, retaining structures, reinforced concrete, and steel structures.
  • Review architectural and engineering drawings to ensure structural adequacy and constructability.
  • Prepare structural reports, design notes, and technical documentation.
  • Support project teams during project planning, execution, and monitoring stages.
  • Carry out site inspections and provide technical guidance on structural-related matters.
  • Review subcontractor and consultant design submissions.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant local and international engineering standards.
  • Coordinate with geotechnical, project, and construction teams to optimize design solutions.
  • Identify structural risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
  • Participate in design reviews, client meetings, and technical presentations when required.
  • Provide technical support during tendering and project estimation activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in structural design and construction projects.
  • Proficiency in structural design software such as ETABS, SAFE, STAAD Pro, ProtaStructure, Robot Structural Analysis, or similar.
  • Good knowledge of reinforced concrete and steel structure design.
  • Sound understanding of foundation engineering and construction methodologies.
  • COREN registration or evidence of progression towards professional registration will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
