Job Position: Site Engineer

Job Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

Job Description and Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily site operations, ensuring that construction activities are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project timelines.

Key responsibilities

  • Supervising and coordinating daily construction activities on-site.
  • Ensuring that work is executed in accordance with approved architectural, structural, and engineering drawings.
  • Monitoring project progress and ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks.
  • Coordinating subcontractors, artisans, suppliers, and other site personnel.
  • Conducting site inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards, specifications, and project requirements.
  • Ensuring strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations on-site.
  • Preparing daily site reports, progress updates, and other relevant project documentation.
  • Identifying and reporting site issues, technical challenges, and deviations from approved drawings.
  • Monitoring the use of construction materials and minimizing wastage.
  • Liaising with project managers, consultants, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.

Candidate Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree or HND in Civil Engineering, Building Technology, or a related discipline.
  • 2–3 years of relevant site engineering or construction experience.
  • Good knowledge of construction methods, site supervision, and engineering drawings.
  • Ability to coordinate site workers and subcontractors effectively.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office will be an added advantage.
  • Must be willing to work on-site in Victoria Island, Lagos.

Salary

N200,000 monthly.
