Job Position: Procurement & Inventory Officer
Job Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time
- We are seeking a responsible and experienced Procurement & Inventory Officer to oversee procurement activities and conduct daily stock and inventory checks at our construction site.
- Visit the construction site daily to monitor and take stock of materials and supplies.
- Maintain accurate records of materials received, issued, and remaining on site.
- Monitor material usage and identify shortages, excesses, or discrepancies.
- Coordinate the procurement of materials based on site requirements.
- Liaise with suppliers to obtain quotations, negotiate prices, and ensure timely delivery.
- Verify delivered materials against purchase orders and delivery documents.
- Work closely with the Site Engineer, Storekeeper, and Project Team to ensure proper material control.
- Prepare regular procurement and inventory reports for management.
- Ensure proper documentation and accountability for all materials purchased and used on site.
- HND or B.Sc. Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
- 5–15 years of relevant experience, preferably in the construction industry.
- Experience in site procurement, stock control, or construction inventory management.
- Good knowledge of construction materials and suppliers.
- Strong record-keeping and Excel skills.
- Good negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Must be willing to visit the construction site daily and work closely with site personnel.
- Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of identifying discrepancies in stock and material usage.
