Manage the Inspection and Test Plan for all works in the assigned area; maintain the register and hold-point sign-off records
Personally inspect all reinforcement in preparation for each slab pour: reinforcement bar sizes, spacing, cover, lap lengths, and particularly punching shear reinforcement at all column and slab interfaces
Inspect service sleeve positions against drawings before each pour; confirm all sleeves are correctly installed and report any discrepancies to the Programme and MEP Manager
Issue or withhold concrete pour authorisation; no pour proceeds without Quality Control Inspector sign-off
Manage the concrete cube sampling and dispatch programme; maintain cube sample records and review test results
Manage the formwork striking authorisation process; confirm cube strength results support striking before any falsework is removed
Maintain the non-conformance register; record all non-conformances, corrective actions required, and close-out confirmation
Coordinate materials testing including concrete cube tests, reinforcement steel certification checks, and waterproofing pull-off tests
Produce a weekly quality control report for the Construction Manager
Required Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor\'s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
Minimum 10 years of experience in construction quality control with specific focus on reinforced concrete structures
Deep knowledge of reinforcement inspection requirements, flat slab construction quality control, and punching shear risk management
COREN registration is beneficial
