Job Summary

  • We are looking for a skilled and reliable Plumber to maintain the company's water supply, drainage, plumbing systems, and sanitary facilities across our factory, workshop, office, and other company premises.
  • The Plumber will be responsible for installing, maintaining, inspecting, and repairing plumbing systems and fixtures.
  • The successful candidate will ensure that water supply, drainage, sanitation, and related systems remain functional, safe, and well maintained.

Key Responsibilities

Plumbing Installation & Repairs:

  • Install, repair, and maintain water supply and drainage systems.
  • Install and repair pipes, valves, taps, sinks, toilets, showers, water tanks, pumps, and other plumbing fixtures.
  • Identify and repair leaks, blocked pipes, damaged fittings, and drainage problems.
  • Carry out plumbing installations for new offices, workshops, production areas, and other facilities.
  • Replace damaged or worn plumbing components when required.
  • Test plumbing systems to identify leaks, pressure issues, or other faults.
  • Ensure all plumbing work is completed neatly and to the required standard.

Maintenance:

  • Conduct regular inspections of plumbing systems and facilities.
  • Carry out preventive maintenance to reduce breakdowns and water leaks.
  • Monitor water tanks, pumps, pipes, valves, and drainage systems.
  • Respond promptly to plumbing emergencies and breakdowns.
  • Maintain records of repairs, maintenance activities, and materials used.
  • Identify potential plumbing problems and recommend corrective action before they become major issues.

Facility Support:

  • Maintain toilets, washrooms, staff facilities, kitchens, and other water-related areas.
  • Assist with installation and maintenance of water pumps and storage systems.
  • Support general facility maintenance when required.
  • Work closely with the Maintenance Officer and other technical staff to resolve facility-related problems.
  • Coordinate with external contractors when specialized plumbing work is required.

Health & Safety:

  • Follow all company health and safety procedures.
  • Use appropriate tools and personal protective equipment when carrying out plumbing work.
  • Ensure plumbing work does not create safety hazards or damage company property.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Properly dispose of waste materials after completing jobs.

Requirements

  • 2 - 3 years' experience as a Plumber.
  • Technical qualification, apprenticeship, or relevant vocational training in plumbing is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a factory, manufacturing facility, construction, commercial building, or similar environment is an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of water supply, drainage, piping, pumps, and plumbing fixtures.
  • Ability to identify and repair leaks, blockages, pipe damage, and other plumbing faults.
  • Ability to use plumbing tools and equipment safely and correctly.
  • Basic knowledge of water pumps and water storage systems is an advantage.
  • Good understanding of workplace health and safety procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and respond quickly to maintenance emergencies.
  • Physically fit and comfortable working in different areas of a manufacturing facility.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Strong attention to detail and safety awareness. Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team. Physical stamina and manual dexterity.
