Key Performance Areas

  • Supervise and guide Assistant Plant Controllers to ensure efficient monthly cost reporting
  • Maintain accurate product costing in SAP FICO (BOMs, routings, standard costing, and inventory valuation)
  • Coordinate month-end and year-end closing, including inventory counts, WIP valuation, and variance analysis
  • Monitor and control manufacturing costs (raw materials, labor, energy, overheads, and production efficiency)
  • Track plant operating expenses against budget and provide variance analysis with corrective actions
  • Oversee inventory control and stock movements to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Monitor CAPEX projects, tracking costs and budget utilization
  • Partner with production, procurement, maintenance, and supply chain teams to improve cost efficiency
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives for reporting accuracy and operational performance
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
  • Coach and develop the plant finance team members

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Commerce
  • CPA (K) or equivalent qualification; ICPAK membership is an added advantage

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years' experience, including 5 years in plant controlling or cost accounting within a manufacturing environment
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Hands-on experience with SAP FICO, COPA, and Monthly SAP System Cost run (mandatory)
