The Pizzaiolo will prepare authentic, high-quality pizzas in an Italian restaurant setting while strictly maintaining food quality, hygiene, and presentation standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare pizza dough, sauces, toppings, and essential ingredients following set recipes and operational standards.
• Stretch, shape, and assemble pizza bases according to customer orders and traditional Italian culinary standards.
• Operate and monitor pizza ovens to achieve required cooking and crust standards.
• Ensure consistent quality, taste, portion sizes, and presentation across all orders.
• Maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness, food hygiene, and sanitation.
• Monitor ingredient inventory, store food properly, and work to minimize kitchen wastage.
• Clean and service pizza ovens, workstations, and associated kitchen equipment.
• Collaborate effectively with the broader kitchen team to support efficient, timely service delivery.

Requirements

• Proven track record as a Pizzaiolo, Pizza Chef, or Pizza Maker, with minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• Previous experience working specifically in an Italian restaurant environment.
• In-depth knowledge of Italian cuisine, traditional pizza preparation, dough fermentation, and oven operations.
• Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene regulations, and sanitation protocols.
• Ability to handle high-volume order pressure in a fast-paced environment with speed and attention to detail.
• Excellent teamwork and communication capabilities.
• Formal culinary training or certification is considered a strong added advantage.
