We are seeking a competent and dedicated Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our diagnostic team. The successful candidate will perform laboratory investigations, ensure accurate and timely reporting of results, maintain quality standards, and support the efficient operation of the laboratory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and specialised laboratory investigations.
  • Analyse, validate, and document laboratory results accurately.
  • Ensure compliance with quality control, biosafety, and laboratory procedures.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment appropriately.
  • Maintain accurate patient and laboratory records.
  • Manage reagents and consumables and promptly report stock requirements.
  • Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement activities.

Requirements

  • BMLS/B.MLS or equivalent recognised qualification in Medical Laboratory Science.
  • Current registration and practising licence with the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).
  • Relevant laboratory or diagnostic-centre experience is an advantage.
  • Good analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to professional ethics.

Key Responsibilities Perform laboratory tests in accordance with established standards and protocols. Collect, process, analyze, and report laboratory specimens accurately and promptly. Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment. Ensure compliance with quality assurance and quality control procedures. Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation. Adhere to infection prevention and control measures as well as laboratory safety standards. Monitor laboratory inventory and request replenishment of reagents and consumables.
