Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Management Assistant - Chinese Translator to support effective communication between Chinese-speaking stakeholders and internal teams. The role will provide accurate Mandarin - English translation and interpretation across business meetings, documentation, and strategic engagements, ensuring clarity, cultural alignment, and business accuracy in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide real-time verbal interpretation (Mandarin - English) during meetings, calls, and executive engagements.
  • Translate written materials including business documents, contracts, emails, presentations, and reports.
  • Support senior leadership and cross-functional teams in engagements with Chinese partners.
  • Act as a cultural and communication bridge to minimize misunderstandings and improve collaboration.
  • Review and proofread translated content for accuracy, tone, and consistency.
  • Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive business information.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Languages, Chinese Studies, Linguistics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years' experience as a professional Chinese Translator or Interpreter.
  • Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English (spoken and written).
  • Strong understanding of business and professional terminology.
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and professionalism.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple translation requests.

Preferred Qualifications

  • HSK Level 5 or 6 certification.
  • Experience in fintech, finance, technology, or multinational organizations.
  • Exposure to China - Africa business environments.
