Key Responsibilities and Duties Operate CNC machines used in steel fabrication and manufacturing, including CNC Machine, Knoting and Branding Machine, laser cutting, CNC drilling, milling, and turning machines, as applicable. Select the appropriate cutting tools, machine settings, programs, and machining parameters for different steel grades and thicknesses. Load and secure steel plates, bars, pipes, and other workpieces onto machines using approved handling equipment. Set machine coordinates, tool offsets, cutting speeds, feed rates, and other required parameters. Load, verify, and execute CNC programs to manufacture components according to specified dimensions and tolerances. Monitor machine performance during production and make approved adjustments to maintain accuracy and productivity. Inspect finished steel components using measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, steel rules, and gauges. Identify and report dimensional errors, defective products, machine malfunctions, and tool wear. Perform routine machine cleaning, lubrication, basic maintenance, and pre-start inspections.
