Job Summary
Support mechanical maintenance operations across poultry farms.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining farm equipment, troubleshooting mechanical faults, and ensuring optimal equipment performance to minimise downtime and support uninterrupted farm operations.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment across poultry farms.
Inspect, maintain, and repair feed distribution systems, conveyors, pumps, fans, winches, and other farm machinery.
Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults, equipment breakdowns, and operational defects.
Perform routine servicing, lubrication, alignment, and replacement of worn or damaged machine components.
Support the installation, dismantling, and commissioning of mechanical equipment.
Monitor equipment performance and identify potential faults to prevent unexpected breakdowns.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, spare parts usage, and equipment condition.
Ensure compliance with maintenance procedures, workplace safety standards, and good housekeeping practices.
Requirements
OND, HND, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum of 3 years' relevant mechanical maintenance experience, preferably in poultry farms, agriculture, or manufacturing.
Practical knowledge of mechanical equipment, pumps, conveyors, bearings, gearboxes, and power transmission systems.
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical faults and perform preventive maintenance.
Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to safety.
Willingness to work on-site and respond to maintenance emergencies when required.
