How You'll Make an Impact

  • We are looking for a Legal Officer who has "startup DNA." Unlike a traditional law firm, you will be embedded in the business, supporting 20+ client meetings monthly and ensuring our contract cycle time is industry-leading.
  • You will be the guardian of our Service Level Agreements (SLAs), ensuring 100% accuracy and compliance while maintaining a lightning-fast turnaround time of less than 24 hours.
  • If you are a collaborative, tech-savvy lawyer who loves building frameworks and navigating risk in a high-growth environment, this is your role.

What You'll Do

  • Contract Management: Draft, review, and manage the lifecycle of all commercial contracts, ensuring 100% accuracy and protection.
  • Corporate Governance: Act as the primary point for due diligence, risk reporting, and regulatory compliance.
  • Legal Advisory: Provide real-time counsel to internal stakeholders to avoid disputes and manage litigation efficiently.
  • Onboarding Support: Participate in client onboarding meetings to ensure legal alignment from the very first touchpoint.

Who We're Looking For

  • Academic Qualification (Mandatory): Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from a recognized university.
  • Professional (Mandatory): Barrister-at-Law (B.L) and a member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA).
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years in a corporate startup environment. We are specifically not looking for legal consulting/law firm backgroundsyou must be comfortable being an in-house generalist.
  • Speed & Precision: Ability to maintain a 24-hour TAT for document reviews without sacrificing quality.
  • Tech Savvy: Expert in collaborative tools (Google Drive, CRM) for legal document management.
  • Analytical Mindset: A researcher at heart who can translate complex laws into simple business SOPs.
