JOB SUMMARY:

  • We are looking for a proactive and versatile HR Generalist to join our growing HR and Administration team. Our HR and Admin team is still being established and iteratively improved, making this a great opportunity for an HR professional who is excited to build, improve and strengthen people-management practices from the ground up.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

  • Execute fullcycle recruitment: manpower demand intake, draft Job Description s, publish vacancies, source candidates, screen CVs, coordinate interviews, conduct reference & background checks, prepare offer letters and employment contracts.
  • Collaborate with department heads for workforce planning, headcount budgeting, succession planning and talent pipeline building.
  • Manage candidate experience, coordinate recruitment agencies when required.

Onboarding, Probation & Offboarding

  • Deliver structured newhire onboarding & induction; prepare employment contracts, appointment letters, confidentiality agreements, system access and all joining documentation.
  • Monitor probation period, organize probation review and confirmation process.
  • Manage endtoend offboarding: resignation / termination documentation, exit interviews, asset recovery, final settlement calculation, termination of benefits and statutory contributions; analyse exitinterview feedback for retention improvement.

Compensation, Benefits & Payroll Support

  • Prepare accurate payroll input data (attendance, leave, overtime, bonus, allowances) for finance / payroll vendor; reconcile payroll discrepancies.
  • Administer statutory compliance: PAYE tax, NSITF, PENCOM pension contributions in compliance with Nigeria Pension Reform Act.
  • Manage employee benefits administration: health insurance, HMO, pension, other welfare schemes; respond to employee benefit enquiries.

Leave & Attendance Administration

  • Manage all leave types: annual leave, sick leave, maternity / paternity leave, study leave, compassionate leave; track attendance, absenteeism and tardiness records.
  • Enforce leave policy, maintain leave balances, approve / escalate leave applications.

Performance Management

  • Own the full performance appraisal cycle: rollout appraisal calendar, distribute evaluation forms, followup completion from managers & staff, consolidate appraisal results.
  • Coach line managers on performance feedback, performance improvement plans (PIP), handle underperformance cases.
  • Support merit increase, bonus and promotion exercises based on appraisal outcomes.

Learning & Development / Training

  • Identify competency gaps together with department leads; design and coordinate internal & external training programs.
  • Manage training logistics, training budgets, track training attendance and maintain training records.
  • Support talent development, internal mobility and career development initiatives.

Employee Relations & Welfare

  • Serve as first pointofcontact for all employee HR queries, grievances and workplace conflicts.
  • Conduct factfinding investigations, mediate workplace disputes, handle disciplinary proceedings in strict alignment with Nigerian Labour Act; issue warning, query and disciplinary letters as appropriate.
  • Organize employee engagement, welfare and culturebuilding activities; promote positive workplace culture.

Policy & Compliance

  • Draft, update, communicate and implement HR policies, employee handbook aligned with Nigerian Labour Act and local statutory regulations.
  • Maintain personnel files (hard copy & HRIS), ensure document confidentiality, data privacy and audit readiness.
  • Monitor regulatory changes of Nigeria employment law and update internal processes accordingly.

HRIS, Records & People Reporting

  • Maintain employee master data in HR Information System (HRIS); ensure highquality, realtime employee records.
  • Generate regular & adhoc HR reports: headcount, turnover / attrition rate, absenteeism, manpower cost, recruitment KPIs, training metrics for management review.

Expatriate HR Support

  • Support expatriate staff documentation: work permit, visa, residence permit immigrationrelated HR paperwork, liaise with relevant agencies for expatriate compliance.
  • Full-cycle service management for Chinese expatriates and local foreign employees including living & transportation Support.

Daily Office Administration and Operation and Corporate Activities

JOB SPECIFICATION:

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Science/Engineering/Human Resource Management, Business Administration, etc.
  • Minimum 35 years handson HR Generalist working experience in Nigeria covering full HR scope or expertise in one of HR and Admin fields.
  • Practical knowledge of Nigerian Labour Act, PENCOM Pension Reform Act, NSITF, PAYE tax rules.
  • Result and efficiency-oriented, self-motived, willing to learn and solve problems, strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Customer-centric mindset with professional service and quality awareness.
  • High confidentiality, discretion for sensitive employee information.
  • CIPM (Chartered Institute of Personnel Management Nigeria) certification preferred.
  • Experience supporting expatriate workforce preferred.
  • Experience working with multinational / foreignowned companies operating in Nigeria preferred.
