Job Summary
The HR Associate will support the HRBP in driving people-related strategies, processes, and policies across the bank. The role is pivotal in executing HR Operations such as recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, training coordination, payroll, compliance, employee relations, and staff engagement. The HR Associate will ensure efficient delivery of HR services that foster productivity, compliance, and a positive workplace culture, while contributing to group-wide HR initiatives where applicable.
Job Details
Drive the end-to-end recruitment process, including Job Description development, sourcing, screening, interview coordination, offer management and pre-boarding.
Design and coordinate onboarding programmes across employee levels, including orientation schedules, onboarding packs and probation tracking, and assess their effectiveness.
Maintain accurate and compliant HR documentation and employee records, both physical and electronic.
Update and manage employee data on the Human Resource Information System (HRIS), and support system optimisation initiatives.
Support the planning and delivery of learning and development programmes, and track attendance, outcomes and impact.
Support talent management activities, including performance reviews, succession planning and workforce assessments.
Coordinate employee engagement activities, recognition programmes, team-building sessions and feedback initiatives.
Support payroll processing, leave management and attendance monitoring, including analysis of payroll and workforce movement.
Handle employee relations matters, including grievances, queries and conflict resolution.
Ensure compliance with Nigerian labour laws, internal HR policies and regulatory requirements.
Draft, review and update HR policies, memos, formal communications and employee-facing documents.
Generate HR analytics and prepare periodic HR reports and executive presentations for management and the Board.
Contribute to Group HR governance, policies and initiatives across subsidiaries as assigned by the Head of HR
Requirements
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor's degree in human resource management, Business Administration, Psychology, Social Sciences or a related field; Master's degree or relevant professional qualification is an added advantage.
Professional certification preferred, such as CIPM, SHRM-CP,RCI (PHR) or an equivalent HR qualification.
3 to 5 years' experience in a Human Resources generalist or HR business partnering role, preferably within financial services or a multi-entity group environment.
Sound knowledge of Nigerian labour laws, employment regulations and HR compliance requirements.
Experience supporting payroll processing, leave management and attendance monitoring.
Familiarity with learning and development coordination, performance management and talent management processes.
Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms and accurate maintenance of employee records.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to produce HR reports, dashboards and executive presentations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft formal HR policies, memos and correspondence.
High level of integrity, confidentiality, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage employees, managers and senior leadership across subsidiaries.
