Job Position: HR Assistant

Job Location: Idu, Abuja (FCT)

Description

  • We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised HR Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of its Human Resources Department in Abuja.
  • The successful candidate will assist with HR administration, employee records management, attendance and leave administration, payroll data preparation, and other HR-related activities while ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update employees' personnel files and HR databases, ensuring proper documentation and confidentiality.
  • Register new employees on the company's HRIS and attendance management systems.
  • Manage employee attendance records, leave administration, and overtime data.
  • Generate attendance reports and provide relevant data for monthly payroll processing.
  • Receive and process manual attendance records from depots where necessary.
  • Maintain records of company assets assigned to employees.
  • Coordinate pre-employment medical examinations for successful candidates.
  • Support HMO administration and employee healthcare coordination.
  • Scan and maintain employees' soft-copy documentation on the HR shared drive.
  • Provide administrative support for the daily operations of the HR Department.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor or Corporate HR.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • HND or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or any related discipline.
  • 1–2 years of relevant work experience in Human Resources.
  • CIPM certification or progress towards professional certification is an added advantage.
  • Good knowledge of HR administration, employee records management, and attendance management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational, administrative, and record-keeping skills.
  • High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple administrative tasks effectively.
