Role Purpose

  • The Head - Marketing, Nigeria will be responsible for developing and executing the overall marketing and brand strategy for Spiro's Nigeria business.
  • The role will own brand positioning, customer acquisition, product marketing, go-to-market strategy, digital marketing, dealer/channel marketing, local market activation, communication, events and market intelligence, with a strong focus on driving awareness, adoption and commercial growth of Spiro's electric mobility portfolio.
  • The ideal candidate should have strong experience in automotive marketing, preferably across two-wheelers, three-wheelers or electric mobility, combined with meaningful experience managing marketing initiatives across African markets.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy

  • Develop and execute the annual marketing strategy for Nigeria aligned with business, revenue and market expansion objectives.

Brand Strategy

  • Build and strengthen Spiro's brand positioning and differentiation in the Nigerian electric mobility market. Develop the brand narrative, messaging and communication strategy for target customer segments.

Automotive Marketing

  • Lead marketing for two-wheeler / three-wheeler products, including product positioning, customer propositions, product launches and lifecycle marketing.

Go-to-Market

  • Develop market-specific GTM strategies for new products, cities, customer segments and distribution/channel expansion.

Customer Acquisition

  • Build integrated campaigns to generate awareness, enquiries, test rides, leads, conversions and customer adoption.

Digital Marketing

  • Lead digital strategy across social media, performance marketing, content, search, CRM and digital lead-generation platforms. Establish measurable digital funnels from enquiry to conversion.

Dealer / Channel Marketing

  • Partner closely with sales, dealers, distributors and business teams to develop local-area marketing initiatives and channel activation programs.

Local Area Marketing

  • Design and execute city-level marketing campaigns based on local consumer behaviour, market potential and competitive dynamics.

Product Launches

Lead end-to-end marketing for new product launches, including positioning, campaign development, media, events, PR, dealer activation and customer engagement.

Market Intelligence

  • Track customer insights, competitor activity, pricing, product positioning and market trends and translate insights into actionable marketing strategies.

Events & Activations

  • Lead auto shows, exhibitions, roadshows, test-ride events, customer engagement programs and other brand activation initiatives.

PR & Communications

  • Manage PR, media relations, corporate communication and product communication in coordination with relevant stakeholders and agencies.

Marketing Analytics

  • Establish KPIs for awareness, lead generation, customer acquisition, engagement, conversion and marketing ROI.

Budget Management

  • Develop and manage the annual marketing budget and ensure effective allocation of marketing spends across channels and initiatives.

Agency Management

  • Identify, brief and manage creative, media, digital, PR and activation agencies.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Sales, Business Development, Product, Operations, Finance and Country Leadership to ensure marketing initiatives directly support business objectives.

Team Leadership

  • Build, mentor and manage the Nigeria marketing team and establish strong marketing processes and performance metrics.

Candidate Profile

Mandatory

  • 10 - 15 years of overall marketing experience
  • 3 - 5 years of hands-on experience in African markets
  • Strong experience in automotive / mobility / two-wheeler / three-wheeler / EV / auto OEM environment
  • Experience in brand management and integrated marketing
  • Strong understanding of African consumer markets and local market dynamics
  • Experience handling product launches and GTM strategies
  • Strong digital and performance marketing understanding
