Job Summary

  • The Head of ICT will be responsible for managing the hospital's ICT operations, infrastructure, systems, cybersecurity, and technical support services.
  • The role will ensure that technology effectively supports clinical, administrative, and operational activities of the hospital.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the hospital's ICT strategy, policies, and procedures.
  • Manage the hospital's network, servers, internet, hardware, software, and other ICT infrastructure.
  • Oversee the Hospital Management/Information System and ensure optimal system performance.
  • Provide timely technical support to all departments and resolve ICT-related issues.
  • Manage user accounts, access controls, data security, backups, and disaster recovery.
  • Ensure the security and confidentiality of patient, staff, financial, and hospital information.
  • Supervise and manage ICT staff, including performance monitoring and development.
  • Manage ICT vendors, service providers, licences, subscriptions, and maintenance contracts.
  • Oversee CCTV, biometric attendance, access-control, and other technology-based systems.
  • Prepare ICT reports and advise Management on technology needs, risks, and improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable ICT, cybersecurity, and data protection requirements.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned by Management.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree/HND in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' relevant ICT experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory/management role.
  • Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare environment is an advantage.
  • Relevant professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, ITIL, CompTIA, Microsoft, or cybersecurity certifications will be an advantage.

Escalate technical faults with cameras, recorders (DVR/NVR), network connectivity, or the control room monitoring system to the Head of ICT without delay. Maintain strict confidentiality of all footage and monitoring data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023 and Jamub Group's data protection policies; footage must never be copied, shared, or discussed outside authorised channels. Coordinate with on-site security personnel and department heads to verify incidents in real time and support an effective response. Ensure proper handover of ongoing observations, open incidents, and equipment status at the end of each shift to the incoming officer. Comply with all control room access protocols, ensuring only authorised personnel enter the monitoring room. Perform any other related duties as assigned by the Head of ICT.
