Job Summary

  • The Head of Accounts will be responsible for managing the financial operations of the Group and its subsidiaries, ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective financial controls, proper cash flow management, and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate and timely financial records, management accounts, and financial reports across the Group.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, and monitor actual performance against approved budgets.
  • Manage cash flow, receivables, revenue reconciliation, and financial controls to protect company funds and minimise financial leakages.
  • Establish and maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance with tax, statutory, audit, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide finance support and monitor the financial performance, controls, and reporting of all subsidiaries.
  • Monitor income, expenses, payments, and other financial transactions to ensure proper accountability.
  • Prepare regular financial reports and provide management with financial information to support decision-making.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure audit findings are properly addressed.
  • Ensure proper management of accounts payable and receivable and timely reconciliation of accounts.
  • Supervise the Accounts/Finance team and ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years' relevant accounting or finance experience, with experience in a supervisory or management role.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, taxation, and financial controls.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience managing finances across multiple business units or subsidiaries is an advantage.
