Qualifications:

  • Diploma/Degree in Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage Management or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years' experience with 2-3 years' experience in an F&B supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of F&B operations, cost control and inventory management.
  • Good leadership, communication and commercial skills.
  • Knowledge of POS and hotel/inventory systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily food and beverage operations, including bar, restaurants and events.
  • Focus on revenue, profitability, and cost management.
  • Uphold service, food quality, and hygiene standards.
  • Train and motivate the F&B team.
  • Manage stock, purchasing. inventory, and waste.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction and effective service recovery.
  • Comply with hotel SOPs, food safety, and Kenyan regulations.

Ensure accurate POS use, billing, and cash handling. Drive beverage sales through product knowledge and upselling. Work with Chef, Stores, and Finance on purchasing and cost control. Key Attributes Proven F&B management experience in a quality restaurant, resort, or hotel. Experience managing high-volume and multi-outlet operations. Hands-on, visible, and confident in a busy environment. Strong leadership and people-management skills. Excellent guest service and communication skills. Good wine and beverage knowledge. Strong understanding of F&B controls and stock management. Commercially aware, organised, and calm under pressure. Experience in fine dining, private dining, or events is an advantage.
