About the Role

  • We are looking for a hardworking and passionate Cook to join our hospitality team.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing healthy, delicious, and well-presented meals while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety.
  • The ideal candidate for this position must be living around Yaba, Surulere, Idi-Araba-Mushin axis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook meals according to the required menu.
  • Ensure food is fresh, properly prepared, and well presented.
  • Plan meals and assist with menu preparation when required.
  • Purchase or assist in purchasing food ingredients and kitchen supplies.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and cooking area.
  • Properly store food items and monitor ingredients to avoid waste.
  • Ensure kitchen equipment and utensils are properly cleaned and maintained.
  • Follow food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Prepare meals on time according to the daily schedule.
  • Monitor food stock and report items that need to be replenished.
  • Perform other kitchen-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate must possess an HND / B.Sc Degree in any field (Catering/Hospitality certificate is an advantage)
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Cook, preferably in a guest house, hotel, or restaurant.
  • Previous experience as a Cook is required.
  • Good knowledge of Nigerian and Continental cuisine.
  • Ability to prepare meals for individuals or groups.
  • Honest, reliable, and hardworking.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
  • Strong sense of cleanliness, hygiene, and organization
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.

The Nutrition and Health Assistant will support the implementation of community-based nutrition and health activities, with a particular focus on beneficiary mobilization, data collection, documentation and reporting. Working closely with the Nutrition team and communicate stakeholders, the role will contribute to the effective delivery of program activities, ensure accurate beneficiary data management, and support monitoring and reporting processes to enhance programme quality and impact. Position Details Reporting to: Nutrition and Health Officer Proposed start date: October 2026 Work location: Sokoto Key Responsibilities: Maintain a database of all porridge mom beneficiaries and update regularly as needed. Work closely with community structures to follow up on the implementation of the porridge mum (Infant Young Child Feeding (IYCF) activities, cooking demonstration, MUAC screening, hygiene promotion and complementary feeding with the support from the Nutrition Officer; Participate in sensitization meetings with vendors before each disbursement; Mobilize porridge mum beneficiaries with support from the community nutrition mobilizers during disbursement; Oversee and maintain constructed porridge mom kitchens to ensure they are in good condition and used appropriately; Ensure proper documentation of all activities and prepare/share monthly reports on porridge activities; Using approved tools, document all referrals and follow-up information of all children with MAM; Support the M&E team in data collection for screening, PDMs, KAP surveys or other nutrition-related assessments; Supervise routine MUAC screenings by CNMs; Prepare and submit weekly/monthly summaries of all nutrition information captured; Organize and participate in community sensitization meetings including community entry meetings, feedback meetings with stakeholders, community nutrition mobilizers etc. Support the development of banners and placement; Participate in local coordination meetings as required; Supervise activities of CHIPS agents/CVs.
