Role Description

  • This is a full-time, on-site Civil Engineer role based in Lagos.
  • The Civil Engineer will be responsible for designing and reviewing civil engineering solutions, including site layouts, infrastructure, and structural components in line with project requirements and local regulations.
  • Daily tasks will include preparing and checking engineering drawings and reports, planning project activities, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and supporting construction supervision to ensure quality and safety standards.
  • The role also involves analyzing stormwater management needs, performing technical calculations, and providing recommendations to optimize performance and sustainability.
  • The Civil Engineer will work closely with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong skills in Civil Engineering Design and Civil Engineering principles.
  • Candidates should possess practical experience as Civil Engineers, including project coordination and site supervision.
  • Candidates should possess proven abilities in Planning and project scheduling for civil works.
  • Candidates should possess knowledge of Stormwater Management and related hydrology/hydraulic analysis.
  • Relevant bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
  • Proficiency in civil engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or equivalent) and MS Office tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work on-site in Lagos, collaborate effectively with diverse teams, and communicate clearly in written and spoken English.
  • Professional registration or progress toward registration with a recognized engineering body is an advantage.
