JOB SUMMARY

The Cash Officer will be responsible for handling daily cash transactions, maintaining accurate records of cash receipts and payments, and ensuring proper reconciliation of cash balances. The role requires a high level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail in managing the Company\'s cash-related activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receive, count, and verify cash and other payments received at the designated location.
  • Maintain accurate records of all cash transactions and ensure proper documentation.
  • Prepare daily cash reports and submit them to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Reconcile physical cash balances with records and promptly report any discrepancies.
  • Process approved cash payments and ensure all supporting documents are properly maintained.
  • Assist with bank deposits and other cash-related banking transactions as assigned.
  • Monitor cash balances and ensure adequate funds are available for approved transactions.
  • Verify payment documents, receipts, and supporting vouchers before processing transactions.
  • Maintain proper filing and safekeeping of cash-related documents.
  • Assist with periodic cash counts and internal audits.
  • Ensure compliance with the Company\'s financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Report suspected errors, irregularities, or discrepancies to the appropriate authority.
  • Perform other finance-related duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • ND or B.Sc. in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • 0 - 2 years of relevant work experience; fresh graduates with relevant skills may be considered.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and cash management procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle financial information responsibly.
  • High level of integrity and trustworthiness.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
