Job Summary

  • The Business Development Manager will drive business growth, revenue generation, market expansion, customer acquisition, and strategic partnerships.
  • The role will identify new business opportunities, develop key client relationships, negotiate commercial agreements, and execute strategies that increase revenue and strengthen the company's market position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with company growth objectives.
  • Identify and pursue new markets, customers, business opportunities, and revenue streams.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, corporate organisations, partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage a strong business development and sales pipeline.
  • Lead client presentations, proposals, tenders, negotiations, and contract discussions.
  • Identify and develop strategic partnerships and commercial alliances.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and growth opportunities.
  • Develop strategies for customer acquisition, retention, market penetration, and revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Finance, Marketing, and other departments to deliver business objectives.
  • Prepare commercial proposals, business cases, sales forecasts, and business development reports.
  • Monitor performance against revenue and business development targets.
  • Negotiate favourable commercial terms while protecting the company's interests.
  • Represent the company at business meetings, conferences, exhibitions, networking events, and industry forums.
  • Maintain an updated database of clients, prospects, partners, and market opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities for new products, services, markets, and strategic investments.
  • Provide regular reports to Management on business opportunities, pipeline development, market trends, and revenue performance.
  • Mentor and support business development/sales team members where applicable.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Management, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Master's degree or relevant professional qualification is an advantage.
  • 5 - 7+ years' relevant experiencein business development, sales, commercial management, strategic partnerships, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of achieving business growth and revenue targets.
  • Strong experience managing key accounts, corporate clients, and strategic partnerships.
  • Demonstrated experience in commercial negotiations and closing high-value deals.
  • Strong understanding of market research, sales strategy, customer acquisition, and business expansion.
