Job Title: Accounts Officer
Location: Anthony Village, Lagos Employment Type: Full-time
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including receipts, payments, invoices, and expenses.
Prepare and process payment vouchers, invoices, receipts, and other financial documents.
Monitor daily financial transactions and ensure proper documentation and authorisation.
Reconcile bank statements, cash balances, and ledger accounts regularly.
Assist in preparing budgets, financial reports, cash flow statements, and management accounts.
Monitor accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collection of outstanding debts.
Verify supplier invoices, payment requests, and supporting documents before processing.
Maintain accurate records of staff expenses, reimbursements, and approved claims.
Assist with payroll processing and ensure accurate documentation of salary payments and statutory deductions.
Ensure proper filing and safekeeping of financial records and supporting documents.
Monitor expenditures and report discrepancies, unusual transactions, or potential financial irregularities to management.
Assist with tax documentation, statutory remittances, and other regulatory financial requirements.
Support internal and external audits by providing relevant financial records and documentation.
Ensure compliance with company financial policies, accounting procedures, and approval limits.
Liaise with banks, suppliers, customers, and other departments on relevant financial matters.
Prepare periodic financial summaries and submit reports to the Accounts Manager or management as required.
Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.
Salary N150,000 - N350,000 monthly.
