Responsibilities:

  • Record daily financial transactions in accounting systems
  • Assist in preparation of payment vouchers and receipts
  • Support bank reconciliations and cashbook updates
  • Assist in invoice processing and supplier payment tracking
  • File and organize financial documents for audit readiness
  • Support basic financial reporting and analysis
  • Assist in payroll data preparation where required
  • Ensure proper documentation and adherence to financial controls
  • Perform any other accounting duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (added advantage)
  • Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail
  • High integrity and professionalism

Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum grade: B+ and above in academics. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (and/or Google Sheets); confidence using formulas and organizing datasets. Knowledge of ERP systems is a must. Basic understanding of Kenyan tax concepts (VAT, PAYE, WHT) is an added advantage. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks independently and as part of a team. Prior internship/attachment experience or finance-related academic projects is a plus.
