About the Role

The role holder will be responsible for preparing financial statements, performing account reconciliations, management of accounts receivables and accounts payables, maintaining the general ledger and assessing internal controls for CIC Pharmacy Insurance Limited.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting and Compliance:

  • Maintain accuracy and completeness of financial records
  • Ensure proper classification, coding and documentation of all transactions to the correct GL accounts and cost centers
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports in line with financial reporting standards.
  • Maintenance of the asset register and confirm that it is in line with the company accounts and policies
  • Provide support to internal and annual audit processes by providing relevant schedules, listings and reconciliations as and when needed.
  • MIS Champion to the current systems and new systems implemented in the organization
  • Identification of areas of cost optimization within the business
  • Supervise pharmacy branch finance operations

Budgeting:

  • Capex and Operating expenses budgeting and forecasting.
  • Sales budgeting and forecasting.

Operations:

  • Accounts payable Management - Vendor Management, invoice processing, vendor reconciliations and statements and generation of ageing reports
  • Inventory management and stock control
  • Conduct scheduled stock takes and prepare relevant reports
  • Prompt Receipting and allocation of customer payments.
  • Preparing daily bank and Mpesa reconciliations and daily cash control reports.
  • Identify and support areas of automation to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Who We're Looking For

Essential Knowledge/Skills and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field.
  • Progress in professional Qualification in CPA, ACCA
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience.

The position will be based at our Nairobi Office in Kenya. Duration: Full-time position for 12 months, possible extension subject to funding and satisfactory performance. What will you do? ensure LAW is consistently producing high-quality master budgets, financial reports, monthly banking reconciliation and audits are conducted in a timely manner.
