The WTP OperatorinTraining (OIT) supports the operation and maintenance of Water Treatment Plant (WTP) systems in accordance with Navy utility operations standards and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include assisting certified operators with daily operation, monitoring, and control of water treatment processes to ensure the production of safe, potable water.
The OIT performs routine inspections, collects water samples, conducts basic testing, and records operational data under supervision. This role includes learning treatment processes such as filtration, disinfection, chemical dosing, and system monitoring while adhering to established safety and environmental procedures.
Additional duties include assisting with preventive maintenance activities, maintaining cleanliness of treatment facilities, responding to alarms or abnormal conditions as directed, and supporting inspections and audits. The WTP OperatorinTraining gains handson experience while supporting missioncritical water utility operations in a remote, missiondriven environment.
Minimum Requirements
1 - 3 years of experience in utilities, water treatment support, industrial operations, or related field
High school diploma or equivalent
Basic understanding of water treatment principles, mechanical systems, or utility operations
Ability to follow technical instructions, procedures, and safety protocols
Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, or oncall schedules as required
Must be in possession of a valid Passport and be able to travel internationally.
Passport should be valid for a minimum of 1 plus years at the time of hiring.
Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain requirements for duration of deployment.
Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
