Duties & Responsibilities
Manage and supervise workshop staff.
Diagnose, repair and maintain Mercedes Benz Trucks.
Use the Mercedes Star Diagnostics Computer System for fault finding and diagnostics.
Attend to mechanical breakdowns.
Carry out bodywork and welding repairs.
Manage workshop operations and ensure work is completed efficiently.
Control and monitor workshop staff performance.
Oversee other branch Workshop Foreman and act as a mentor.
Manage job cards and workshop administration.
Handle licence administration and related documentation.
Control workshop costs, stock and equipment.
Ensure workshop tools and equipment are maintained and properly controlled.
Work overtime when required to meet operational requirements.
Minimum Requirements
Diesel Mechanic qualification
Prior Managerial experience
8 to 10 years indusrtry experience
Knowledge and experience working on Mercedes Benz Trucks
Ability to work with the Mercedes Star Diagnostics Computer System
Bodywork and welding skills
Valid South African EC driver's licence
Solid hard worker
Ability to work under pressure
Willingness to work overtime and ability to handle mechanical breakdowns.
Ability to control and manage workshop staff
Own tools will be advantages
