Weigh Bridge Operator At Heirbase Management Solutions Limited

Key Responsibilities

• Operate the weighbridge system and accurately record the weight of vehicles and materials entering and leaving the plant.
• Verify vehicle details, driver information, material type and other relevant documentation before weighing.
• Conduct first and second weighings as required and ensure accurate recording of results.
• Issue weighbridge tickets and maintain proper records of all transactions.
• Reconcile weighbridge records with delivery notes, dispatch documents and other supporting documentation.
• Monitor and report discrepancies in vehicle weight, materials or documentation.
• Ensure that no vehicle or material is weighed or released without the required authorisation and documentation.
• Maintain accurate daily, weekly and monthly weighbridge reports.
• Liaise with Security to ensure proper control of vehicles entering and leaving the plant.
• Work with Operations, Logistics, Stores and Finance to resolve discrepancies and support accurate inventory and material reconciliation.
• Ensure the weighbridge area and equipment are kept clean, organised and operational.
• Report equipment faults and irregularities promptly to the appropriate department.
• Comply with all Company HSE, security and operational procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity of weighbridge and production information.

Role Requirements

• Minimum of SSCE/WAEC/NECO; OND or equivalent qualification will be an advantage.
• Minimum of 2 years' relevant experience as a Weighbridge Operator, Weighbridge Clerk, Dispatch Clerk, Logistics Clerk or in a similar role.
• Experience in mining, quarrying, mineral processing, manufacturing, logistics or another industrial environment will be an advantage.
• Good numerical and record-keeping skills.
• Basic computer literacy with the ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to operate or learn weighbridge software and digital weighing systems.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy in recording transactions.
• Ability to identify and escalate discrepancies or suspicious transactions.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays where operationally required.
