Job Summary

  • We are seeking a Power Plant Operator with hands-on experience operating and maintaining Wärtsilä gas engines in an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the power plant, including engine start-up, shutdown, synchronization, monitoring of LT/HT water circuits, and routine engine maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor Wärtsilä gas engines and associated power plant equipment.
  • Carry out engine start-up, shutdown and synchronization procedures safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor and manage the LT/HT water circuits of the engine.
  • Conduct routine checks and monitor engine performance to identify abnormalities or faults.
  • Perform and support engine maintenance activities in line with operational requirements.
  • Maintain proper operating records and report equipment issues promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with plant safety procedures and operational standards.

Requirements

  • HND / B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering field.
  • 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in a power plant, FMCG or manufacturing environment.
  • Proven hands-on experience operating Wärtsilä gas engines.
  • Practical knowledge of engine shutdown and synchronization.
  • Good understanding of engine operation and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of LT/HT water circuits and their operation.
  • Strong troubleshooting, monitoring and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be available to resume immediately.
