Nexus Staffing Solutions Limited is urgently recruiting on behalf of its client, a restaurant located in Umoja, Nairobi, for a customer-focused, presentable and reliable Waiter/Waitress.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, taking customer orders, processing transactions through the Point of Sale (POS) system and ensuring a smooth dining experience.
Candidates residing in Umoja or neighbouring areas are strongly encouraged to apply, as proximity to the workplace and ability to report to work reliably are important considerations.
- Welcome and attend to customers professionally and courteously.
- Present menus, explain available dishes and assist customers with their orders.
- Take accurate customer orders and relay them to the kitchen.
- Operate the restaurant\'s POS system to process orders, payments and receipts.
- Ensure customer orders are served accurately and promptly.
- Handle customer enquiries, requests and complaints professionally.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper arrangement of tables and the dining area.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Process customer bills and ensure accurate payment handling.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, presentation and customer service.
- Previous experience working as a waiter/waitress in a restaurant or hospitality establishment.
- Practical experience operating a restaurant POS system is highly desirable.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Customer-focused with a pleasant and professional attitude.
- Basic numeracy and ability to handle customer payments accurately.
- Ability to work in a busy restaurant environment.
- Honest, reliable, punctual and well-presented.
