We are looking for a Video Editor Intern to join our Content Operations team. This role is ideal for someone with at least 1 year of hands-on video editing experience who is eager to learn, improve, and grow within a creative team.
You will work closely with the Content Operations team to edit engaging video content for our digital platforms.
Reports to: Head of Content Operations
Responsibilities:
Edit raw footage based on briefs and creative direction.
Trim, arrange, and sequence footage for engaging storytelling.
Add music, sound effects, captions, graphics, and basic effects where required.
Make basic colour, lighting, and audio adjustments.
Create rough and final cuts based on feedback.
Work with Content Creators to bring creative ideas to life.
Keep up with current video editing trends and techniques.
Requirements:
Minimum of 1 year of practical video editing experience.
Proficiency in at least one editing tool such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or similar.
Good understanding of video editing, storytelling, pacing, and continuity.
Creative, detail-oriented, and willing to learn.
Ability to receive feedback and work collaboratively.
A portfolio of previous editing work is required.
A background in Film, Mass Communication, Media, or a related field is an added advantage.
