Job Title: VFD Specialist
Location: Obajana, Kogi
Job Summary
The VFD Specialist at Dangote Cement Plc is responsible for the plant operational VFD’s like LV & MV types.
The ideal candidate should have hand-on experience with Siemens (Perfect harmony, Simovert master drives, all types of Sinamics drive), ABB (LV&MV -- ACS550, 800 & ACS880 drives and ACS1000 &ACS 5000), SEW-Eurodrive (Low voltage drives-MovitracB and advanced and MDX60B), WEG (LV & MV drives), Nordac (LV drives), Emerson (LV drives & MV drives), Schineider (LV & MV drives) and Vacon drives.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Review All types of VFD performance and day to day operation status.
Ensure that VFD drives preventive maintenance programs implemented as per agreed schedule.
Monitor the effectiveness of the programs, maintenance reworks and makes recommendations.
Enforce standards and safe work procedures for the VFD operational & maintenance procedures.
Provide training development and leadership on VFD functional/operational system including troubleshooting.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent in Instrument/Electronics & Communication Engineering or related discipline.
Minimum of Twenty (20) years demonstrated operating experience in maintenance practices on VFD panels operational and troubleshooting on hands free experience and three years of which is must in management position.
In-depth knowledge of VFD operational system including Up/Downloading the programming parameters.
In-depth knowledge of VFD panel trouble shooting.
In-depth knowledge of VFD drives operation and maintenance.
In-depth knowledge of VFD drives spares maintenance and selection of the spares.
