United Nations Environment Programme Protocol Clerks Jobs in Kenya;

Responsibilities

Support organization of visits for highlevel delegations, including AU Commission meetings, AMCEN, South Africa G20 Presidency Working Groups and highlevel missions.

Assist international staff with documentation, visas and requirements through Ministries of Foreign/International Relations.

Conduct protocol functions in organizing meetings for major events, liaising with government officials and delegation representatives, and briefing on accreditation and access issues.

Arrange and coordinate special needs and requests for visiting dignitaries.

Inspect conference rooms before and after meetings to ensure readiness.

Assemble, copy and distribute background papers and agendas.

Coordinate with government offices to handle services for staff and visiting dignitaries.

Report protocolrelated issues to the Head of Office.

Update host country offices on protocol norms, procedures and changes to local customs.

Review and maintain UNEP Protocol and VIP lists.

Facilitate safe transportation (adsbygoogle=window.adsbygoogle||[]).push({});of delegates and authorized personnel, ensuring compliance with rules in case of accidents.

Perform daytoday vehicle maintenance, minor repairs and cleanliness.

Support administrative assistant in vehicle clearances, registration, customs and tax matters.

Perform any other duties as assigned.Qualifications & Special Skills

Qualifications & Special Skills

Completion of secondary school or equivalent commercial school required.

Minimum 3 years’ progressively responsible experience in protocol clerk services required.

Experience working in an international organization desirable.

Experience dealing with Ministries of International Relations for clearances and visas desirable.

Experience handling highlevel officials desirable.Languages

Languages

Fluency in oral and written English required.
