Unit Head, Quality Assurance & Analytics, E-business Operations At Access Bank

Description

• To supervise and ensure all quality assurance metrics are implemented and reviews conducted, then reported.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for ensuring that existing internal controls and risk management practices in the group are strictly adhered to.
• Responsible for keeping the Group Head abreast of all occurrences in the Group through a quality and robust Quality Assurance report.
• Coordinate Group meetings and training.
• Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.
• Ensure GL reconciliation checks are accurate and escalate exceptions.
• Supervise periodic spot checks and process audits across key E-business Operations functions.
• Mentor and train QA team members on process knowledge, audit expectations, and documentation standards.
• Assign and monitor review tasks based on team capacity and priorities.
• Monitor adherence to regulatory and internal SLA timelines (e.g., CBN SLA for reversals).
• Support internal/external audit reviews and respond to QA-related queries.

Qualification

• First degree in any Discipline with a minimum of Second-Class honors.
• Relevant Masters' degree will be an advantage.
• Professional Membership: A recognized professional certification will be an added advantage
• Minimum Experience: Minimum of 6 years relevant experience.

Skills/Competencies:

• Ability to lead a team and make sound judgments based on evidence and QA findings.
• Familiarity with core banking systems (e.g., Flexcube), switching platforms, and digital banking interfaces.
• Understanding of governing principles and rules of E-business operations.
• Ability to spot errors, inconsistencies, or deviations in data or processes.
• Use of MS office Excel, SQL, or BI tools to investigate and report findings to stakeholders effectively.
• Good verbal and written skills.
• Working closely with operations, compliance, IT, or other relevant teams.
• Handling discrepancies or quality concerns tactfully.
